Hand-crafted weaving

Robin Goss crafts hand-woven homeware and apparel in the pastoral setting of her Hudson Valley studio, a renovated barn from 1868. Her work begins with acquiring high-quality, sustainable fibers that she hand-picks from area farms. The result is an heirloom, designed for comfort and durability.

Traditional Looms

Each one-of-a-kind item is crafted using a traditional, wooden Swedish loom. Threads are manipulated by hand to measure lengths and feel for tensile and nuances. It is a time-honored process, passed through centuries.

Finest Materials

Every project begins with quality: world-renowned New Zealand wool; Belgian linen; Peruvian alpaca; and the softest of silks. Fibers are custom-dyed for each individual project to ensure durability. This attention to detail yields a uniquely tactile texture.

Artistic Inspiration

Subtle hues and vibrant colors inspire Robin’s designs, that are at home in both contemporary and traditional settings. Her signature works are subtle and luxurious, the perfect compliment to any home.

Perfect for our historical setting...

January 17, 2015

We’re proud to display Robin Goss rugs at the Saugerties Lighthouse. They are perfect for our historical setting and are durable enough to endure all of the foot traffic we see here at the Lighthouse. They look period-appropriate in both the kitchen and the guest rooms and we receive so many compliments on them. Robin helped us tailor the size and colors to fit each room and was very generous with her time. Her skill and artistry is obvious to everyone who visits.

Prettiest thing I've ever seen...

June 15, 2014

I can’t even count how many compliments I get on the natural wool rug we have in our living room. We knew we wanted to have a rug made for the space and it’s my favorite decision we’ve made in our restoration efforts. We have a very old house but lots of contemporary furniture, so we needed something that could span the time periods. It’s incredibly soft underfoot. The texture is obviously handmade. And the peach and ivory color scheme is the prettiest thing I’ve ever seen! We’re very happy with Robin’s work.

Gorgeous work...

September 9, 2014

Thank you, Robin! We weren’t able to find a runner to fit our wide staircase. Robin created a custom width and length and we couldn’t be happier. It has withstood years of footprints from our kids and pets and it’s simply beautiful. It’s the perfect compliment to our summer house on Nantucket!

A real pleasure to work with...

March 22, 2015

As an interior decorator, I’ve been working with Robin for years, ordering custom rugs for my clients across New England. Her work is exceptionally durable and far outlasts anything that is available in the pre-fab market. She’s my go-to supplier for classic, traditional, and timeless woven pieces. I highly recommend her work.
